Determination, Versatility, Adaptability | GreenBook

Many organisations continue to thrive despite the challenges of today’s world, a world that continues to be impacted by COVID-19. This ever-changing environment has caused businesses and employees to embrace a more versatile way of working. Continued rising costs within organisations and needs of adapting to such an environment inevitably provoke the following question: Which direction to take next?

Taking the time to find solutions, to cope with making it through an unprecedented pandemic despite all odds, isn’t a simple process. The new office environment, which we now simply call home, continues to be impacted on a global scale. The determination to succeed through an outbreak causes us to evaluate the facts versus the figures within the terms of business solutions. Determination is the way forward.

Operating in an evolving world, organisations must identify solutions in a landscape littered with unexpected surprises. Thriving in such an environment is, for most companies, no easy feat. Let us remain vigilant within our seats so that we can surpass the outbreak. To make it through this, organisations must take a brave stand informed by the principles of determination, versatility, and adaptability.

The evolving world

Under the epidemic, it’s an understatement to say that companies across the world have incurred major disruptions. The former world of opportunity is now the current world of evolvement, a land where organisations must sharpen their decision-making skills through collaboration with all stakeholders to survive.

The sheer immenseness of the outbreak has yielded a necessity for new methods of working in this evolving world. Employers must develop solutions within the means of their scale, and allow the use of information and collaboration to coincide with those that work on different platforms. Fortunately, contemporary advancements in technology – including artificial intelligence and machine learning – have provided organisations with the tools, information, and strategies they need to work effectively within the market research industry.

Despite the outbreak, a notable amount of organisations have managed to survive, and some have even thrived. Technological advances – such as those I mention above – set the stage for versatility and adaptability, and today workers can be much more productive than just a few years before, despite today’s pandemic-focused landscape. The effectiveness of how many companies have learnt to adapt through this changing environment has caused organisations to implement adaptability and versatility as necessary components of their everyday operational strategies, a central component of their calculated determination to succeed.

It’s important to take a proactive stance in this outbreak-ridden world.

Determination versus COVID-19

Along the rough road to recovery from COVID-19, organisations have taken a variety of different approaches to overcoming the shockwaves of the outbreak while also remaining successful. Companies are well aware that they must identify methods for evaluating their current business models and use them to effectively roll out solutions through the crisis.

The path forward need not be determined by our failures. Rather, we can define it by our successes: Organisations are wise to implement future-focused solutions, especially while struggling through the challenges of today. Travel habits have changed, and so have our decision-making processes.

On a global scale, countries have implemented (and continue to implement) a variety of methods to respond to the crisis. This evolving world has caused organisations to develop a variety of creative solutions. For one, companies have come to employ more methodical approaches to get through the pandemic.

Nonetheless, despite using different methods to develop a sense of self-awareness within a changing industry, the problem question of navigating this road to recovery lurks in the back of the minds of business leaders around the world. How to strike a balance in this landscape with employees so that they do not, for example, experience burnout remains a challenge.

The overall impact of the COVID-19 pandemic is the development of a sense of self-awareness that allows organisation to develop and implement new strategies necessary to thrive through such a pandemic. Businesses aim to create solutions that allow for the return of some semblance of ‘normality’ within their working organisation. There are a variety of new strategies implemented by companies across the globe, some taking more of a bold stance than others.

A business model that allows a company to define and scale-down solutions for both employers and employees allows for an organisation to embrace a sustainable way of productive work in our modern environment, where things are changing very quickly. The nature of the pandemic has caused no shortage of rethinking and redevelopments within companies across the globe, but success still comes with question marks about the near future – with near-future expectations difficult to predict. However, in driving forward with determination, businesses of all sizes develop robust approaches and innovate like never before.

Organisations that manage to unite together as one stand a better chance at thriving during the pandemic, despite its mysteries. Maintaining determination, too, is a crucial way to drive forward – the importance of positive decision-making without hesitation should not be underestimated. Driving forward with quick and informed solutions remains as important as ever in our pandemic-era world.

Versatility and adaptability

Two nouns with different – but ultimately related – meanings, versatility and adaptability, have proven to be crucial concepts for businesses to embrace during the ever-shifting pandemic environment. To become versatile is to adhere to one individual’s skillsets with different abilities, whereas to become adaptable is to be prepared for whatever challenges may come one’s way. But how exactly might one measure these two concepts?

Leaders must frequently make decisions under pressure and with little time, and many crucial decisions today are made in an environment with considerable unknowns. Today, perhaps more than ever before in recent history, organisations are wise to develop system processes based not only on their current business models but also the demands of the pandemic, all while maintaining a strong foundation in determination, versatility, and adaptability. Business entities must take the time to understand a.) competition, b.) knowledge and value of current organization system processes, and c.) any information that creates knowledge and promotes solutions for improving internal structure and process.

Despite the many challenges that come with a worldwide pandemic, organisations benefit from maintaining awareness of the fact that even though the road to recovery might seem far from how organisations envision the way they need to bounce back, a winning approach through the pandemic-era landscape is certainly one of developing an internal focus on the pillars of determination, versatility, and adaptability.
